E1 Kids heads to the 10th Annual Kidscreen Summit with an impressive slate

Toronto / Los Angeles / London – February 9, 2009 –E1 Entertainment, a leading independent entertainment content owner with operations in television, film, music and distribution plans to deliver a slew of highly-anticipated children's and animated programming at the 10th Annual Kidscreen Summit at the Hilton in New York, NY February 11-13, 2009.

MAJORITY RULES (26 x 30 minute episodes) She's fifteen, she's into extreme-everything and she's just been elected mayor of her hometown, Mayfield. Meet Becky Richards. She's not your average teenage girl – but why would anyone want to be average? Running for mayor is one thing, but running your own life on your own terms? That takes real guts. The Teletoon original live-action/animation tween comedy series, MAJORITY RULES revolves around the life of Becky played by Tracy Spiridakos (The Secret Lives of Second Wives), as her world gets turned upside down when she tries to balance friends, family, high school, relationships and politics.
THE DATING GUY (26 x 30 minute episodes) THE DATING GUY is a smart, edgy and urban-minded animated sitcom that tackles relationships from a downtown guy's perspective. Created by Marblemedia partners Matt Hornburg and Mark Bishop and developed with Teletoon, it boldly exposes the romantic, working and every day struggles of a twenty-something male in his attempts at finding love…or lust. With an entourage of quirky supporting characters, the show looks at relationships from the often hilarious point of view of the young and single male. A fully integrated on-line component will also accompany the new toon.
IN MAYA'S OPINION (26 x 30 minute episodes) In development with YTV, IN MAYA'S OPINION is a single-camera, half-hour comedy for 10 to 14 year olds where we see the good, the bad, and the embarrassing through the eyes of 14-year old Maya Hughes. CGI-enhanced "Mayanimation" brings Maya's hyperactive imagination to life, literally blowing the day-to-day experiences of a teenager out of proportion. Despite her teenaged troubles, Maya has an optimistic outlook and believes anything is possible – even if it means breaking the rules every once in a while.
PEPPA PIG (130 x 5 minute episodes, age 2-6 yrs) Nick Jr. UK, FIVE UK, Noggin US,…etc Peppa is a loveable, cheeky little piggy who lives with her little brother George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig. Peppa's favorite things include playing games, dressing up, days out and jumping in muddy puddles. Her adventures always end happily with loud snorts of laughter.
BEN & HOLLY'S LITTLE KINGDOM (52 x 11 minute episodes, age 4-7 yrs) Nick. Jr UK, Nickelodeon Int'l, France 5, ABC Australia. Holly, a young Fairy Princess, is still learning how to fly and her magic doesn't always go quite according to plan. Her best friend, Ben the Elf, doesn't have wings and he doesn't do magic. But elves are very good at making things – especially toys. They live in the Little Kingdom – a tiny land where flowers and grass rise above the tallest towers
HUMF (78 x 7 minute episodes, age 1-4 yrs) Nick Jr. UK, ABC Australia, DR Denmark. BBC Worldwide for International Cbeebies Channels…Humf is a furry thing. He is short and round and cuddly. He is also very curious about the world around him and he wants to do everything! But doing things isn't always easy for Humf, whether he's trying to make a tricycle go, or turn a somersault, or just run as fast as everyone else. Everything takes time, but Humf can usually be patient, and he always perseveres.
LOST AND FOUND (1 x 24 minute episode, family) Channel 4,UK, SVT Sweden, NRK Norway, DR Denmark… One day a boy finds a penguin on his doorstep. Although at first unsure what to do, the boy becomes determined to help the penguin find his way back home…even if that means rowing all the way to the South Pole!
